Job Summary
We are seeking a Sandwich/ Salad Lead to join our team at the Foothills Milling Cafe. The Lead Sandwich/Salad Maker oversees the daily operations of the food preparation station. This role balances high-quality food production with team leadership, ensuring that all salads, sandwiches, and sides meet visual, taste, and safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a positive attitude under pressure, and leads by example to keep service running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Set up the area with necessary tools, equipment and product
Direct the team during peak hours to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment
Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
Monitor stock levels, perform opening/closing inventory checks, and communicate ordering needs to management
Follow all food safety regulations and assure the team does as well
General cleaning duties

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, deli, or fast-casual environment, preferably in a supervisory role
Ability to handle a high volume during a short period of time
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification a plus
Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
Excellent time management skills
Team work oriented

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
